Services

Six connected areas. Where something falls outside them — a tax return, a will, a conveyance — we say so and refer it rather than improvising.

Sectors

Where the work lands

The six areas above describe what we do. These describe the industries they keep arriving from — a quicker way to tell whether we have seen a situation like yours before.

Approaching retirement

People within a decade of drawing benefits who want the arrangements costed and the income tested before the decision becomes irreversible.

Already retired

Clients in drawdown whose withdrawal rate was set years ago, and who have never had it checked against what markets actually did.

Business owners

Extraction, pensions as a planning tool, and the years either side of a sale — when advice is worth most and is most often left too late.

Professionals and senior employees

Complex remuneration, annual allowance problems, and several pensions from several employers that nobody has looked at together.

Inheriting or gifting

Families passing money down without impoverishing the generation doing the passing, and beneficiaries deciding what to do with a sum they did not plan for.

Divorce and separation

Pension sharing, the value of an offer in real terms, and rebuilding a plan around a single income.

Trustees and executors

A defensible basis for investment decisions, and estates where a liability has already crystallised.

Arranging for someone else

Attorneys, deputies and families organising affairs for a relative who can no longer do it themselves.

How it works

Three steps, every time

01

First conversation

A call at our cost to understand what you are trying to do and tell you plainly whether we can help. Sometimes the honest answer is that you do not need advice at all, or not yet — and we would rather say that than bill you for finding out slowly.

02

Scope and costs in writing

Before any work starts you get the scope, the approach, who will do the work and what it will cost, in writing. Independence means we are paid by you rather than by a provider, and you should be able to see exactly what you are paying and for what.

03

Advice, then review

A written recommendation you can read, question and keep, setting out what we suggest and why — including the options we rejected. Then a review at agreed points, testing the plan against what actually happened rather than restating it.

Tell us what you are trying to work out

A first conversation at our cost, and an honest view on whether advice would change anything for you.
